Indonesian Peanut Satay
For the "meat"
TVP - Textured Vegetable Protein (soak in water to rehydrate till squishy)
Harissa Paste (suggested from http://chillipig.co.uk)
Wok or sauté the TVP and other ingredients with some salt and pepper until desired you get to your desired taste. Take off heat and leave to the side.
For the sauce
In a saucepan combine
1 jar 100% peanut butter (buy or make your own) Crunchy or smooth you choose
Garlic 2 cloves
One Medium Spring Onion
2 de-seeded red chillies
100ml soy sauce
dash of mirin
dash of white wine vinegar
Optional: a tbsp of tahini for extra nuttiness
Add soy/salt/pepper/chili flakes/until desired taste.
You can use toothpicks and dip in the sauce or you can use skewers covered in sauce. Either way combine the TVP and peanut sauce and enjoy!
