Oakham JHB

JHB stands for Jeffrey Hudson Bitter. Sir Jeffrey was an adventurer, duelist and courtier to Queen Henrietta Maria, wife of King Charles I,  he achieved all of this whilst being three and a half feet tall. He lived in Oakham for several years which inspired Oakham brewery to create this modestly strong yet full charactered bitter, just like the great man himself.

Tasting notes: With Oakham's hallmark hoppiness this is a light and refreshing, citrus fruity beer with a dry bitter finish.

Food pairings: Fish and Chips, roast beef, roast chicken.
